During the worst of 2020, I had a playlist that reflected my mood. Most of the time it was (and remains) smooth jazz because sometimes I just don’t want any words of any kind in my head…especially if the song became an earworm. Besides that, I kept playing “The Waiting” by Tom Petty (“Every day you see one more card”) every chance I got, along with “Roll with it” by Steve Winwood, and “Higher Ground” by Stevie Wonder – plus the ever-weird Ian Drury and “Reasons to be Cheerful,” and of course “Tubthumping” by Chumbawamba.
For 2021 my playlist is still under development. All I can say for sure is that “Fight Song” will be on it.
How about you? What was on your 2020 playlist? What will your 2021 playlist sound like? Let us know in the comments?
